Stan has been producing since he was 9, using GarageBand to create a range of covers and remixes, which in turn inspired him to begin creating originals. Macy has been writing songs and poems since she can remember, often performing them acapella. In 2014, Stan played Macy his electro-inspired take on the instrumental for ‘Enchanted’ by Taylor Swift. He asked whether Macy would be interested in recording vocals on the track, as they had both been aware of one another’s passion for music, but had never collaborated before. By the end of the day they had created their first duet.
Following this, Macy would go round to Stan’s house after school to record more songs, and they found a real commitment to creating music, and when they were 14 they wrote their first collaborative original song, ‘Vulnerable’. The process was so gratifying and natural that it provoked the idea to start their partnership. Stan and Macy have been consistently making music together since, working to strengthen and develop their musical sound.
